Car of the Day - Pagani Zonda Tricolore

Pagani will feature at this years Geneva show what must be the ultimate run-out model, the 1.75 million dollar Tricolore. While Pagani have stated they will continue to build Zondas on a special order basis for special clients, the Tricolore marks the end of the production line for the highly successful (in relative terms) first model for the worlds leading boutique car manufacturer.

Named in honour of the Frecce Tricolori, the Italian Airforce aerobatic team, the Tricolor is not a limited production edition as much as it is a one-off.

The overriding feature of this stunning vehicle is the carbon fibre finish. The beautifully laid weave gets a featured blue clear lacquer over most of the upper body. This lacquer is more of a strong tint that still lets the weave feature as well as having the strength of the hue change with the varying degree of light available.

A green white and red stripe runs either side of the nose cone over the bonnet and the front also features new LED lights. As always with a Pagani the interior is stunning, featuring carbon fibre and blue and cream leather in a mixture that manages to make “busy” very stylish.
