9ff and Ruf are the very upper echelon of the German Porsche Tuners. The thing that distinguishes them from their competitors is that not only have they made some of the best tuned 911’s, they also build their own cars. While they use Porsche mechanicals the cars are a complete ground up handbuild not much different to a full blown racecar.

The GT9-R is the latest, and fastest of the uber Supercars. Just 20 of the R version will be built. With an increase of 147 hp over the standard GT9’s 973 hp the R gets a claimed top speed of 414 kmph (257 mph) top speed. Enough to push the SSC Ultimate Aero TT off the pedestal as the worlds fastest road car.

As each R will be handbuilt to customer requirements it is unlikely any two will be identical. 9ff offers a considerable choice of option with distinct aero packages for outright speed or track performance.

The four litre six cylinder boxer is also available in three of states of tune. Starting with the 750 HP kit, good for 380 kmph and 0-300 in 20 seconds and tuned for track performance. Moving to the second stage with 987 HP through to Stage 3 with 1120 HP deliverying 414 kmph and 0-300 in 15.8 seconds.
